Too many Urchins
Red Sea Urchins (Strongylocentrotus franciscanus) are overpopulated due to overfishing of their predators. The urchins then consume kelp leading to major kelp declines. Image made in Barkley Sound, Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada.
