Helping Scallops Recover

Bay scallops (Argopecten irradians) being given a helping hand by researchers from the Virginia Institute of Marine Science (VIMS). Seagrass disappeared from the area in the 1930's and with the seagrass went the scallop fishery, the largest in the USA at the time. Their re-imergence is considered a major conservation victory.
